Job summary

Midas Reynella Tyre & Auto is seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our on-site team in Reynella, SA. This full-time position offers a leadership opportunity and a chance to mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality repairs.

You will diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles using modern diagnostic equipment, supervise workshop activities, and maintain accurate service records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as an automotive technician or mechanic in a professional workshop.
• Proven diagnostics and repair across a wide range of makes/models.
• AQF Level 3/4 in Automotive Service or equivalent trade qualification.
• Current valid driver’s licence (manual transmission experience required).
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with a customer‑focussed approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments and repairs on vehicles using modern equipment.
• Lead, mentor and supervise junior technicians in daily workshop activities.
• Ensure work meets quality and safety standards with complete service records.
• Explain repair requirements and costs clearly to customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop and participate in stock management.
