Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service in Newcastle NSW seeks a Lead Training & Checking Aircrew Officer to head the ACO training and checking team. You will develop people, maintain high operational standards, and ensure rear cabin training meets CASA requirements.

You will travel between NSW bases to deliver training, oversee materials, and partner with senior leaders to drive capability and safety across aeromedical and rescue operations.

Competenze

• Experience as a Training and Checking Aircrew Officer (TCACO).
• Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of operational flight standards.
• Ability to satisfy Working With Children Check and National Police Check requirements.
• Flexibility to undertake regular travel between NSW bases.

Mansioni

• Lead, coach and develop the ACO training and checking team, fostering a positive, respectful, and high-performing culture.
• Monitor operational flight standards and consistent rear cabin training practices across all bases.
• Oversee training for Aircrew Officers, TCACOs, ACO Line Trainers, and Medical Transport Specialists (MTS).
• Develop and maintain training materials, manuals and procedures.
• Work closely with the Head of Training and Checking, Chief Aircrew Officer and operational teams to identify training needs and improve capability.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure training aligns with applicable CASA regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve training, procedures and operational consistency.
• Regular travel between Tamworth, Belmont and Lismore bases to support training delivery.
