Job summary

SEEK’s AI Platform Services (AIPS) team seeks a Lead Software Engineer to head the engineering function within the All the Ads team, designing and delivering AI/ML systems, data assets and pipelines at scale. You will own system architecture, mature ML-Ops practices, and work with data scientists, product managers and partner teams to drive rapid delivery and impact for millions of users.

This role combines technical leadership with people management, and offers a collaborative, high-performance

Qualifications

10+ years of backend software engineering experience.
Proficiency in Python and/or Java.
Strong experience with AWS cloud platform.
Experience with ML engineering and Spark/Databricks is desirable.
Proven delivery and people management experience.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional team to apply latest AI/ML practices.
Design system architecture that meets team objectives and SEEK standards.
Provide technical leadership and mature ML-Ops practices.
Foster rapid delivery culture; align team to roadmaps and timelines.
Manage, coach, and grow engineers through line management.
Collaborate with data science, product, and business stakeholders on key decisions.
Oversee integration of backend services with partner teams.
