Job summary

Naiman Clarke is a specialist Wills & Estates law firm in NSW seeking a 4+ year PQE lawyer. You will advise on wills, estate planning, probate and contested estates, while handling matters autonomously and building strong client relationships.

The role offers flexible working arrangements with the opportunity to work remotely within a supportive, highly regarded practice.

Qualifications

• 4+ years PQE in Wills & Estates.
• Australian or NZ law degree with strong academics.
• Experience in estate planning, probate and deceased estates.
• Autonomous, client-focused with drafting and management skills.
• Experience in estate litigation is valued.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on wills and estate planning structures.
• Prepare wills, powers of attorney, enduring guardianships and related documents.
• Advise executors and beneficiaries on probate and deceased estate administration.
• Manage estate assets, liabilities, distributions and administration issues.
• Advise on family provision claims and estate disputes, including litigation.
• Advise on superannuation and testamentary trusts within estate planning.
• Manage matters with autonomy while maintaining strong client relationships.

About the role:

• Advising clients on Wills, estate and succession planning, including complex estate planning structures.
• Preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney, Enduring Guardianships and associated estate planning documentation.
• Advising executors, beneficiaries and families on probate, Letters of Administration and deceased estate administration.
• Managing estate assets, liabilities, distributions and other issues arising throughout the administration of estates.
• Advising on family provision claims, Will disputes and contested estates, including negotiation and estate litigation matters.
• Advising on superannuation, testamentary trusts and other issues relevant to comprehensive estate planning.
• Managing your own matters with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining strong, empathetic relationships with clients.

The ideal candidate:

• Wills & Estates Lawyer with 4+ years’ PQE.
• A law degree from an accredited Australian or New Zealand university, underpinned by strong academic records.
• Solid experience across Wills & Estates, ideally including estate planning, probate and deceased estate administration.
• Experience in estate litigation and contested estates will be highly regarded.
• Strong drafting, technical and client management skills, with the confidence to manage matters autonomously.
• A personable and empathetic approach, with a genuine interest in developing their career within Wills & Estates law.
