Backed by a national team of over 400 staff located in Brisbane and Sydney, McCullough Robertson is a big firm, without the attitude.

The Team

McCullough Robertson’s Real Estate team is highly regarded for its unique ability to blend extensive industry insight, technical skill, and innovative thinking to successfully make deals happen and achieve exceptional outcomes for clients.

We offer expert guidance on a diverse range of projects, including urban regeneration, greenfield sites, master-planned communities, retail and industrial hubs, and commercial developments.

Our strengths lie in negotiations, due diligence, property acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, complex title arrangements, master-planned projects, leasing, licensing, commercial contracts, and project conveyancing. With a solid history of delivering effective solutions, we are reliable partners in turning ambitious real estate visions into reality.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer to gain broad exposure across all areas of our property practice. You will work on acquisitions and disposals and commercial leasing across all asset classes for a diverse client base that includes ASX listed companies, property trusts, private owners and government (all levels).

In addition, the role includes advising developers on mixed-use, residential and commercial projects, including greenfield subdivisions. You will also support private clients and body corporates on a range of property-related matters.

Experience

We are seeking a motivated and capable property lawyer with three to five years of post-admission experience, ideally gained within a mid to large-sized commercial law firm. As the successful candidate, you will have a genuine interest in developing your career in property law and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.

Additionally, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and possess the confidence to work autonomously while also contributing collaboratively within a close-knit and supportive team environment.

Furthermore, you will bring strong technical abilities, including well-developed drafting and research skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to client service. A professional and commercial mindset, combined with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain strong relationships with clients will be essential to your success.

  • Attractive further education program and supportive learning and development opportunities throughout your whole career;
  • Mentoring and sponsorship opportunities as well as coaching and leadership support;
  • Holistic health and wellbeing program including subsidised gym membership and active social and sporting committees; and
  • In-house barista and end-of-trip facilities.
