A public service agency in New South Wales is looking for a legal professional to provide quality legal services in planning, environment, and land acquisition law. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years' experience as a solicitor and hold a practising certificate from the Law Society of NSW. In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a dedicated and high performing team, delivering quality legal services to support the diverse functions of Transport for NSW and other agencies in the transport portfolio.
With a focus on planning, environment, and land acquisition, contribute to the delivery of high-quality legal advice, draft legal documents, and coordinate external legal representation in court proceedings, to ensure optimal outcomes across the Transport cluster.
You will hold a practising certificate issued by the Law Society of NSW.
You have 2+ years’ experience as a solicitor in a private firm, in house, or Government legal team (preferred)
You have experience in planning, environment, and/or land acquisition law, including litigation experience (preferred).
You have strong legal research, drafting and problem-solving skills.
You will be a motivated team player with great initiative, who can manage competing deadlines and priorities.
