Job summary

Naiman Clarke in Brisbane is seeking a talented junior lawyer with 2–6 PQE to join our litigation team, handling complex commercial disputes under mentoring Partners.

You will work across insolvency, banking and finance disputes, and corporate disputes, with exposure to drafting, evidence preparation and client meetings.

This role offers hands-on responsibility, direct partner access, and clear progression within a leading national firm.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–6 PQE in a reputable commercial law firm.
• Experience in commercial litigation, insolvency or banking and finance disputes.
• Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive and able to manage competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced litigators across a broad range of disputes.
• Draft legal advices, pleadings, affidavits, submissions and court documents.
• Prepare evidence, discovery and briefs to counsel.
• Attend client meetings, mediations, conferences with counsel and court proceedings.

About the role:

• Complex corporate insolvency and restructuring disputes.
• Corporations law disputes, including shareholder and director‑related matters.
• Banking and finance litigation and disputes involving financial institutions.
• Drafting legal advices, pleadings, affidavits, submissions and court documents.
• Preparing evidence, discovery and briefs to counsel.
• Attending client meetings, mediations, conferences with counsel and court proceedings.

The ideal candidate:

• Have approximately 2-6 PQE, ideally gained within a reputable commercial law firm.
• Previous experience in commercial litigation, insolvency or banking and finance disputes.
• Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable managing competing deadlines.
• A genuine interest in developing your expertise in complex commercial disputes and corporate insolvency.
