Job summary

Montgomery Advisory is seeking a Lawyer to join its highly regarded commercial litigation team, focusing on class actions and complex disputes. The role offers exposure to high-stakes matters and cross-border issues, providing a platform to deepen litigation expertise.

You will work with experienced litigators on shareholder, consumer and product liability actions, gaining hands-on experience across all stages of proceedings while developing drafting, strategy and matter-management skills.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years' post-admission experience in litigation.
• Experience in class actions or complex commercial disputes, highly regarded.
• Exposure to Federal Court or state court proceedings, advantageous.
• Strong drafting skills including pleadings, affidavits and court documents.
• Experience with discovery and managing complex litigation processes.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced litigators on a diverse range of complex matters, including class actions and major commercial disputes.
• Assist with drafting pleadings, affidavits and court documents and manage matter-related tasks.
• Support litigation strategy, case management and client communications across cross-border matters.

An opportunity has arisen to join a highly regarded commercial litigation team working on complex, high-stakes class actions and major commercial disputes.

This role offers exposure to sophisticated proceedings, significant litigation and international disputes, providing an excellent platform for a talented litigator looking to deepen their technical expertise and take on increasingly challenging work.

The Role

You will work alongside experienced litigators on a diverse range of complex matters, including:

• Shareholder, consumer and product liability class actions.
• Large-scale representative proceedings in the Federal Court and state Supreme Courts.
• Complex commercial disputes and major litigation.
• Cross-border disputes involving international clients.

You will gain hands-on experience across all stages of litigation, with opportunities to develop your drafting, strategic thinking and matter management skills while working closely with clients, counsel and senior practitioners.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• 1–4 years' post-admission experience in litigation.
• Experience in class actions or complex commercial disputes, highly regarded.
• Exposure to Federal Court or superior state court proceedings, advantageous.
• Strong drafting skills, including pleadings, affidavits and court documents.
• Experience with discovery and managing complex litigation processes.
• Excellent academics, strong technical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach and a genuine desire to develop.
