Job summary

Naiman Clarke seeks a Commercial Litigation & Class Actions Lawyer (2-4 PQE) to join our Sydney team. You will handle complex class actions and major commercial disputes, drafting court documents, affidavits and evidence, while contributing to hearings and trials preparation.

You will work with a collaborative, high-performing team, developing technical and strategic litigation expertise and benefiting from strong learning and long-term career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' PQE in litigation/dispute resolution.
• Class actions or complex commercial litigation experience highly regarded.
• Federal Court or superior state court experience advantageous.
• Strong drafting, research and technical legal skills.
• Experience preparing court documents, affidavits and evidence.
• Exposure to discovery in complex litigation matters.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex class actions and major commercial disputes.

• Engage with shareholders and consumer/class actions as required.

About the role

You will join a highly regarded litigation team working across complex class actions and major commercial disputes. Your matters will include:

• Shareholder class actions.
• Consumer class actions.
• Product liability class actions
• Large-scale representative proceedings in the Federal Court and state Supreme Courts.
• Cross-border and international disputes involving clients across Asia, the UK and Europe
• Drafting court documents, affidavits and evidence.
• Assisting with preparation for hearings and trials.

The ideal candidate

Have 2-4 years' PQE in litigation/dispute resolution.

• Class actions or complex commercial litigation experience highly regarded.
• Having Federal Court or superior state court experience will be highly advantageous.
• Strong drafting, research and technical legal skills.
• Experience preparing court documents, affidavits and evidence.Exposure to discovery in complex litigation matters.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
