Job summary

Hall & Wilcox in Newcastle is seeking a Lawyer or Associate to join the Statutory Insurance - Workers' Compensation practice, working with a highly regarded team in our Newcastle office. The role offers growth within a supportive environment and potential for clear career progression.

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of one year post-admission experience in personal injury claims, specifically Workers' Compensation for employers/insurers, with defendant-side experience

We have an opportunity for a Lawyer or Associate to join our thriving Statutory Insurance - Workers' Compensation practice working with a highly regarded team based in our Newcastle office.

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of one year post-admission experience in personal injury claims, specifically Workers' Compensation for employers/insurers. This is a genuine growth role for the right candidate, offering the opportunity for clear career progression within a supportive and nurturing environment.

The Statutory Insurance NSW - Workers' Compensation section is a defendant insurance legal team which has approximately 70 people across the Sydney and Newcastle office.

About you

You will ideally have the following skills and experience:

• minimum one year of post-admission experience;
• experience working in the personal injury space, specifically Workers' Compensation for employers/insurers;
• experience on the defendant side is ideal;
• clear, concise legal writing skills;
• strong attention to detail; a strong commitment to client service; and
• initiative and the ability to organise and prioritise effectively.
