Job summary

adaptbl, an Australian-owned law firm, is seeking a lawyer with 2-5 years’ PAE to join on a casual, as-needed basis to support privacy, FOI and administrative law work for Commonwealth Government agencies.

The role offers flexibility with hybrid and remote arrangements, with Canberra-based applicants preferred. You will work alongside experienced government lawyers and gain exposure to public law and government practice.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years PAE with government, in-house or private practice backgrounds.
• Experience in administrative law, FOI exposure highly regarded.
• Interest in privacy law and Commonwealth government work.
• Strong legal research, analysis and drafting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Ability to manage routine and process-driven work efficiently.
• Strong organisational skills and flexibility to changing workloads.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

We're looking for a lawyer with 2-5 years' post-admission experience to join us on a casual, as-needed basis to support periods of increased workload and project delivery requirements.
The role will primarily involve assisting our senior lawyers and clients with a range of privacy, Freedom of Information (FOI) and administrative law matters for Commonwealth Government agencies.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking flexibility while continuing to build their experience in public law and government practice.

Please note: only Australian citizens with ability to obtain/maintain a Baseline security clearance can be considered for this role. An existing security clearance is highly desirable.

About You
