Job summary

Blackheath Lawyers, a small firm in the Blue Mountains, seeks a law student or graduate to join the Blackheath office three days a week. The role includes assisting with conveyancing, leasing, wills and estates, family law and criminal matters, with some days in the office and some remote work from home.

You will support the partner in maintaining and running files, drafting and filing correspondence, and handling court filings. LEAP software experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a law degree or has graduated.
• Experience with LEAP software is advantageous.
• Willingness to work part-time and in hybrid/remote arrangement.
• Familiarity with conveyancing, leasing, wills and estates, family and criminal law is preferred.

Job description

We are a small law firm located in the upper Blue Mountains and are looking for a law student or graduate to work in our Blackheath office initially for 3 days a week. You will be required to work some of the time in the office and at other times remotely from home.

The role is as a paralegal and the work will include conveyancing, leasing, wills and estates, family law and criminal law. You will be assisting the partner in respect of maintenance and running files, including drafting and filing of correspondence and documents, court filing etc.

Experience with LEAP legal software would be an advantage together with experience in any of the abovementioned areas of law.

The salary will be commensurate with experience.
