Job summary

IMPACT Community Services Limited in Bundaberg is seeking a full-time Laundry Worker - Truck Driver to safely collect and deliver laundry using the laundry truck and, when not on runs, work on the laundry floor providing high quality services. You will load, unload, manage records, and maintain safe driving practices.

Applicants must hold Queensland MR/LR/HR licences with a clean driving record, be capable of heavy lifting, and comply with safety policies.

• Ability to operate laundry equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled delivery runs and ensure timely delivery.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Laundry Worker - Truck Driver at the New Image Laundry in Bundaberg. This a full-time role that is responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of laundry to New Image Laundry customers using the laundry truck. When not on a truck run, the role is utilised on the laundry floor, delivering high quality laundry services.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

Complete scheduled delivery runs, collecting and delivering laundry safely, efficiently, and within agreed timeframes.

Operate the laundry truck safely and compliantly, following Queensland road rules, licence requirements, and company vehicle safety policies.

Load, unload and transport linen safely, using correct manual handling techniques while ensuring load restraints, weight limits, and separation of clean and soiled linen.

Conduct daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any defects, damage, incidents, or safety concerns to the Laundry Manager.

Accurately manage delivery records, including counting and checking items, completing run sheets and delivery documentation, and obtaining customer sign-off where required.

Provide professional customer service, communicating effectively with customers, managing delivery issues, and maintaining efficient delivery routes while adhering to safe driving and fatigue management practices.

Process garments and linen through the complete laundry cycle

Ensure accurate identification and tracking of customer items

Operate and maintain laundry and ironing equipment safely and effectively

Deliver high-quality garment presentation

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

About you

Current Queensland MR, LR or HR Driver Licence with a safe driving record and confidence operating delivery vehicles.

Knowledge of safe loading, unloading and load restraint practices, with a strong commitment to workplace health and safety requirements.

Experience operating laundry equipment and machinery, including the safe handling and use of laundry chemicals.

Ability to perform physically demanding work, including repetitive lifting, pushing and pulling of laundry bags, cages and trolleys.

Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, work under pressure, meet delivery and production deadlines, and contribute to team and organisational goals.
