Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a friendly Laundry Assistant for Mercy Place Mt St Josephs in Young, NSW. This casual role focuses on basic laundry, ironing, sorting and redistribution of clothing, helping keep our residents comfortable and cared for.

You’ll bring compassion, reliability and a collaborative spirit to a team that values dignity and open communication. NDIs clearance is required, and you’ll contribute to a warm, respectful workplace across Mercy Health’s care community.

Responsibilities

• Laundry cleaned each day of use and in accordance with the designated cleaning schedule for the laundry.
• Laundry equipment cleaned in line with manufacturer’s instructions.
• Ordering of contracted laundry as per agreed amounts.
• Storage of contracted laundry.

Perform basic laundry, ironing, sorting and redistribution of clothing as required

and ensure duties lists are accurate and up to date.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.
