Job summary

EVT Limited in Australia is seeking a laundry attendant to join the housekeeping team. You will wash, dry, fold and iron guest laundry and staff uniforms to standard SOPs, keep areas clean, follow safety guidelines and support cost control.

You will greet guests, assist, take direction from supervisor and help with stocktakes and linen storage, contributing to a positive guest experience and smooth operations across EVT's hotel and entertainment network.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel or commercial laundry preferred.
• Capability to wash, dry, fold and iron guest laundry and staff uniforms.
• Maintain clean, tidy and safe laundry area.
• Operate and report issues with equipment and chemicals safely.
• Handle items per health and safety guidelines.
• Assist with stocktakes and linen storage.
• Conserve energy to support cost control.
• Assist with guest requests and team collaboration.

• Use equipment and chemicals safely, and report maintenance issues or hazards quickly.
• Handle laundry items in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Help with regular stocktakes and store linen and supplies correctly.
• Support cost control by conserving energy and using equipment responsibly.
• Look after lost property with care.
• Service and clean public areas and guest rooms when needed.
• Greet guests warmly, help with requests and enquiries, and pass issues to supervisor.
• Take direction from supervisor and Executive Housekeeper, with a proactive approach.
• Work as part of a team that treats guests and colleagues with respect.

Great guest experiences start with fresh, perfectly presented linen. As a laundry attendant, you’ll be a key part of our housekeeping team, running and caring for our laundry so every guest, and every colleague, gets the best from us.

• Previous experience working in a hotel or commercial laundry is ideal.
