Job summary

RSL LifeCare Nowra is seeking a Casual Laundry Assistant to join our Residential Care team. In this role you will support residents by keeping laundry areas clean and organised, ensuring supplies are stocked and routines run smoothly.

You will work within a compassionate, team-based environment, adhere to WHS policies, and contribute to a safe, respectful home for veterans and seniors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated compassion and empathy for residents and families.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team and support residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to cleaning schedule maintaining cleanliness in all areas.
• Check and replenish supplies such as soap, towels and toilet paper.
• Check supply of cleaning chemicals and fill containers as required.
• Spot clean spills and ensure safe handling of chemicals.
• Comply with WHS policies and maintain a safe work environment.

About the role:

• Adherence to general cleaning schedule ensuring all areas area maintained at an acceptable level of cleanliness.
• Check and replenish supplies such as liquid soap, paper towels, toilet paper etc.
• Check supply of cleaning chemicals and fill containers as required.
• Spot clean spills
• Ensure safe handling and use of chemicals.
• Comply with relevant RSL LifeCare WHS policies, procedures, and reasonable instruction
• Maintain a safe work environment and take reasonable care for others' health and safety(including visitors, Community members, team members and contractors)
