Job summary

RSL LifeCare is seeking a Cleaning Assistant in Hawks Nest, NSW. This role focuses on helping maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and visitors within our aged care home. You will be supported in your development and teamwork is valued to provide high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the general cleaning schedule and keep areas clean.
• Check and replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
• Check cleaning chemicals and refill containers as needed.
• Spot clean spills and ensure safe handling of chemicals.
• Follow WHS policies and maintain a safe work environment.

About the role

• Adherence to general cleaning schedule ensuring all areas area maintained at an acceptable level of cleanliness.
• Check and replenish supplies such as liquid soap, paper towels, toilet paper etc.
• Check supply of cleaning chemicals and fill containers as required.
• Spot clean spills
• Ensure safe handling and use of chemicals.
• Comply with relevant RSL LifeCare WHS policies, procedures, and reasonable instruction
• Maintain a safe work environment and take reasonable care for others' health and safety(including visitors, Community members, team members and contractors)

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
