About the Role

Upper Coomera Landscape Supplies is looking for a proactive, all-rounder Landscape Supply Yard Operations Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role where you\'ll operate heavy machinery like loaders and forklifts and manage key office operations, including customer service, inventory management, and point-of-sale transactions.

In this dynamic position, you\'ll be hands-on in the yard while also taking responsibility for the administrative side of our operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly both outdoors and indoors. If you have a knack for multitasking, a strong customer focus, and enjoy being part of a busy, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

What We\'re Looking For

Experience: Ideally previous experience in a similar role, in landscaping, construction, or supply yard operations, with a mix of hands-on yard work and office administration. While experience in a similar role is beneficial, we\'re happy to train the right person who is eager to learn and has a positive attitude.

Proven Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a delivery driver or in a customer-facing role within the landscaping or construction industry.

Licences: A valid Loader & Forklift licence is essential. An HR driver\'s licence would be an added benefit.

Driver\'s Licence: A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver\'s licence is required for this position.

Skills: Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and experience with retail POS systems and basic office administration.

Customer-Focused: Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with clients over the phone and in person, providing expert advice and assistance.

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual handling tasks and operate heavy machinery, including lifting and moving bulk materials.

Flexible & Adaptable: Ability to work weekends and adjust to changing priorities throughout the day.

Safety-Oriented: A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company protocols and procedures.

Work Rights: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Loader & Forklift Operations: Safely and efficiently operate a loader and forklift to load and unload landscaping supplies for customer orders and deliveries.
  • Yard Management: Oversee the organization of products within the yard, manage stock movements, and placement of materials. Ensure the yard is tidy, accessible, and well-stocked for both customer pick-ups and delivery preparations.
  • Office Operations & Customer Service: Manage daily office tasks, including operating the retail POS system to process sales, handling customer inquiries over the phone and in-person, and assisting with product selection.
  • Delivery Coordination: Prepare and organize orders for delivery, ensuring that the right products are loaded onto trucks and delivered to customers on time.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations in both the yard and the office. Help with coordinating deliveries and customer service to create a positive experience for everyone.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment both in the yard and in the office. Ensure that all equipment is operated according to safety guidelines.
