Job summary

Sustain Maintain Landscapes is seeking an offsider to join our Brisbane team for 30–38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with immediate start. This entry role offers in-house training and a clear path to Leading Hand.

Starting pay is $33.96 per hour plus super, with higher rates up to $39 per hour plus super and a take-home vehicle for qualified horticulture/landscaping applicants. A Queensland C class license and right to work in Australia are required. Police check may be needed.

Qualifications

• Manual C class QLD driver’s licence.

• Willing to obtain a current police check.
• Experience in garden maintenance/landscaping desired but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a great attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate garden & landscaping power tools.
• Mow, snip & edge lawns.
• Trim & shape hedges; prune & lop trees.
• Weed management and herbicide treatment.
• Daily work reports; mulch and fertilise spaces.
• Other basic property maintenance tasks as required.

Advertised is an offsider (assistant) role, with potential to move up into leading hand position which has a vehicle provided and higher pay rates.

About the Role:

The position is on-going, beginningas an off-sider to a Leading Hand, whilst receiving in-house training, with the intention of development & promotion to Leading Hand.

We pay above the industry award offering a starting rate of $33.96 +super per hour. Applicants with experience and qualifications in horticulture and basic landscaping attract a higher rate of up to $39 per hour + super + take home vehicle.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate a range of garden & landscaping power tools
• Mow, snip & edge lawns
• Trimming & shaping hedges
• Pruning & lopping small to medium trees
• Weed management, identification, & herbicide treatment
• Daily work reports
• Mulch and fertilise green spaces
• Other basic property maintenance tasks that arise, and are required, outside of above duties
