Blacktown City Council is seeking a qualified Landscape Architect to lead landscape design for parks and reserves, from initial concept to construction, with a focus on community needs and recreation.
You will consult with residents, prepare designs, tender documents and manage projects, budgets and timelines, while supporting council teams with landscape advice and planning.
Help shape the parks, reserves and open spaces communities use every day. As a Landscape Architect, you manage reserve development and landscape improvement projects from initial design through to construction. You create practical public spaces that respond to community needs and support recreation and everyday use.
You consult with residents to understand the facilities they need, prepare landscape designs, specifications and tender documents, and manage the tender process. You coordinate contractors and consultants, oversee construction works and manage project budgets, contracts and timeframes. You also undertake landscape planning, prepare Council reports and provide landscape advice to other Council teams and the community.
Your work directly shapes local parks and reserves across a growing city. This role suits a qualified Landscape Architect who enjoys combining design, project delivery and community consultation.
You join a collaborative team with opportunities to build experience across varied landscape projects. Flexible working arrangements support balance between work, community and personal commitments.
At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:
