Job summary

The City of Rockingham invites applications for a Landscape Architect within the Land and Development Infrastructure division. The role focuses on assessing landscape and streetscape designs for subdivision and development projects to ensure compliance with City policies, legislation and best practice.

You will collaborate with developers, internal teams and external stakeholders to progress public open space and asset development, coordinate documentation, respond to enquiries and uphold safety

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of landscape architectural principles and technical data.
• Experience with land development of public open spaces and regulatory frameworks.
• Significant experience in landscape and streetscape design.
• Degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design or equivalent.
• Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Landscape Architect to join our Land and Development Infrastructure division on a full time fixed term period of 12 months. This role is responsible for assessing landscape and streetscape designs for subdivision and development projects, ensuring compliance with City objectives, policies, legislation and industry best practice. The position works closely with developers, internal teams and external stakeholders to support public open space and asset development, coordinate project documentation and asset information, respond to enquiries, and deliver high-quality customer service. The role also maintains strong compliance with WHS, risk management and Council governance frameworks to support safe, effective and sustainable outcomes for the community.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your application:

1. Comprehensive understanding of landscape architectural principles and the interpretation of relevant technical data
2. Relevant experience in regulatory principles relating to land development of public open spaces
3. Considerable experience in landscape and streetscapes design
4. Degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design or equivalent
5. Current 'C' Class Driver's License

This position offers a gross salary from $102,707 to $110,461 per annum (dependent on skills and experience).
