Job summary

The City of Coffs Harbour is seeking a Supervisor Landfill to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance on site. You will coordinate staff, oversee activities, and operate heavy plant when required.

The role requires supervising landfill operations, leading safe work practices, and coaching a team in a busy facility with a focus on continuous improvement and a positive culture.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years' experience operating heavy plant (e.g., compactors, loaders or excavators).
• Current HR Driver Licence.
• White Card.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Landfill Operators and coordinate daily activities.
• Lead safe work practices across the site.
• Operate heavy plant including compactors, loaders and excavators.
• Manage waste movements, stockpiles and landfill operations.
• Monitor environmental controls and site compliance.
• Coach, train and mentor team members.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build a positive and productive team culture.
