Job summary

The City of Coffs Harbour is seeking a Supervisor Landfill to lead daily landfill operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and environmental compliance on site. You will supervise operators, coordinate activities, and operate plant when required.

You will guide a team to meet performance targets, develop staff through coaching and mentoring, and contribute to continuous improvement across the facility in a busy waste services environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience supervising a civil works, landfill or operational team.
• At least two years' experience operating heavy plant across equipment such as waste compactors, loaders or excavators.
• A current HR Driver Licence
• White Card
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
• The ability to lead, motivate and support a team in a busy operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervising Landfill Operators and coordinating daily activities.
• Leading safe work practices across the site.
• Operating heavy plant including compactors, loaders and excavators.
• Managing waste movements, stockpiles and landfill operations.
• Monitoring environmental controls and site compliance.
• Coaching, training and mentoring team members.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
• Building a positive and productive team culture.
