Labourforce have several clients based in Perth and we are currently seeking experienced Manufacturing Operators (sheet metal) to work for our client in Maddington. You will operate roll form, folding and pressing machines to produce sheet metal parts according to drawings.

Role requires roster Monday to Friday with AM & PM shifts in a full-time capacity. Immediate starts are available, with pay from AUD 35 per hour plus super. Forklift ticket is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sheet metal manufacturing operator with ability to interpret product drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and follow safety rules.

Responsabilités

• Interpret product drawings to program the folding machine according to specifications.
• Operate metal folding, roll form and pressing machines and general sheet metal equipment.
• Manufacture goods to customers' requirements.
• Conduct basic preventative and breakdown maintenance in liaison with the maintenance team.
• Participate in training and use of specific plant and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and other business areas on projects.
• Strict adherence to safety rules and contribute to a safe working environment.
• All successful candidates will need to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test.

About the role:

• Must be able to work a roster from Monday - Friday (both AM & PM shifts)
• Pay rate from $35p/h (casual loading included) + super
• Immediate starts available!

Key Responsibilities:

• Undergo relevant roll form
• Interpret product drawings to program the folding machine according to specifications
• Manufacturing goods to our customers' requirements
• Operating metal folding, roll form and pressing machines and general sheet metal equipment
• Conduct basic preventative and breakdown maintenance in liaison with the maintenance team
• Participate in training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
• Collaborate with team members, other business areas and projects as required
• Strict adherence to our critical safety rules & contributing to a safe working environment

You will need:

• Unlimited working rights in Australia (hours are full time)
• Australian Forklift ticket is advantageous but not essential
• Experience working as a sheet metal manufacturing operator, including ability to interpret product drawings
• Willing to train the right applicants
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Be computer literate
• Have good written and verbal communication skills
• Be fit, healthy and able to perform heavy lifting when required
• High level of pride in work
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
