Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble and construct storage fitouts and components per project specs.
• Prepare worksites by measuring, marking and setting out materials.
• Assist with installation of internal walls, doors and other structural elements.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Move and position building materials and equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment per site rules.
• Follow site safety protocols and complete required safety tasks.

About the role

We are seeking experienced Labourers Shed Builders to join our team on a casual basis. This position is based in Sydney, NSW 2000, and offers flexible casual work opportunities. As a Labourers Shed Builder, you will play a crucial role in the construction and assembly of sheds and related structures, working as part of our construction team to deliver quality outcomes on time and to specification. This role is essential to our project success and allows you to utilise your hands‑on construction skills in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and construct storage Fitout and components according to project specifications and plans
• Prepare work sites, including measuring, marking, and setting out materials and equipment
• Assist with the installation of internal walls, doors, and other structural components
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Move, lift, and position building materials and equipment as required
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Follow site safety protocols and attend to all safety requirements
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project coordination
• Support other tradespeople and labourers to ensure efficient project completion

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience working as a labourer in construction or shed building environments
• Solid understanding of shed construction methods, materials, and assembly techniques
• Competency with hand and power tools relevant to construction work
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, lifting, and repetitive tasks
• Current White Card (Construction Induction) or willingness to obtain one
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with site procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative environment
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude towards work
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and casual work schedules
• Preferred: experience with prefabricated shed assembly or previous work with Superior Construction and Fitout Pty Ltd
