Job summary

Young Contractors Pty Ltd in Gladstone, QLD is seeking experienced Labourers and Carpenters to join our hands-on team on a full-time basis. You will contribute to building and construction projects, delivering high-quality workmanship while working safely and to specification.

From reading plans to operating hand and power tools, you will assist with on-site tasks, coordinate with the trades team, and help meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience as Labourer or Carpenter in the building trades.
• Three Site Medipass (Yellow)
• Current White Card
• EWP
• Working at Heights
• Competence with hand and power tools
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Reliability and punctuality
• Experience on residential, commercial or civil construction projects preferred
• Trade qualifications or apprenticeship completion essential for trades

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain job sites, manage materials, tools, and safety equipment.
• Perform carpentry work including framing, formwork, timber installation and finishing.
• Read and interpret architectural plans and specs.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely.
• Assist with measuring, marking and cutting materials.
• Contribute to site cleanup and waste management.
• Collaborate with trades and construction team to meet deadlines.
• Perform general labour tasks to support project completion.

Young Contractors Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Labourers & Carpenters to join our team on a full-time basis in Gladstone, QLD. This is a hands-on position that plays a crucial role in the successful completion of our building and construction projects. As a Labourer & Carpenter, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality craftsmanship and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and to specification. Your work will directly contribute to the reputation and success of our company across the Gladstone region.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and maintaining job sites, including managing materials, tools and safety equipment
• Performing carpentry work including framing, formwork, timber installation and finishing tasks
• Reading and interpreting architectural plans and specifications
• Operating hand tools and power tools safely and competently
• Assisting with measuring, marking and cutting materials to specification
• Contributing to site cleanup and waste management in accordance with environmental standards
• Collaborating with other tradespeople and the construction team to meet project deadlines
• Performing general labour tasks as required to support project completion

What we’re looking for
