Job summary

Downer is recruiting a Water Meter Replacer to perform outdoor meter replacements at residential and commercial properties using a company-provided mobile device. You will be part of a planned program and contribute to safety and quality workmanship.

This casual role offers consistent field work, a supportive safety culture, and opportunities to participate in a major infrastructure program. You will be required to have a valid driver's license and pass checks as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong time management skills and reliability.
• Friendly communication and customer service skills.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to pass a National Police Check.
• Current ABN.
• Public Liability Insurance.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday (Saturdays optional).

Join Downer's team as a Water Meter Replacer and enjoy an active role working outdoors.
As part of a planned water meter replacement program, you'll visit residential and commercial properties to replace water meters using a company-provided mobile device. Successful applicants will be referred to one of our contracting partners, who will discuss payment arrangements, contract terms, and conditions in detail.
This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who enjoy working independently, staying active, and delivering quality work. You'll be supported by a strong safety culture and a team dedicated to helping you succeed.
