Job summary

ALS Metallurgy in Balcatta, Australia, is seeking Labourers / Sample Preparers for full-time, casual employment on day or afternoon shifts. You will handle physical sample preparation tasks, operate basic equipment, and support the area supervisor while following safety procedures.

The role requires reliability, good literacy, numeracy, and the ability to work in a team and perform repetitive tasks safely. Training will be provided; this is not a FIFO mine site position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform bench sample preparation tasks such as cutting, crushing, grinding and splitting samples.
• Operate basic sample preparation equipment (saws, crushers, mills) safely.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environmental procedures when handling samples and equipment.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and prepare control samples for processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area.
