Job summary

Argus Darwin is hiring Hospitality Workers to support property maintenance, groundskeeping, and event setups at our Darwin hotel. The role involves assisting maintenance staff with fixtures, cleaning, and safe material handling.

You should have at least two years’ experience as a laborer, be physically fit, and able to work as part of a team; safety and waste management are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a laborer.

Responsibilities

• Property Maintenance: Assist engineering or maintenance staff with moving furniture, installing fixtures, painting, and carrying out minor repairs.
• Groundskeeping & Outdoor Care: Remove outdoor debris, sweep walkways, mow the grass, clean pool areas, and tend to the hotel gardens.
• Heavy Lifting & Logistics: Haul linen carts, move heavy equipment or event setups (such as tables and chairs for events), accept and unload deliveries, and transport goods.
• General Cleaning & Waste Management: Clear loading docks or service areas, manage recycling, and empty large commercial bins.
• Safety & Compliance: Notify the facility manager of any hazards, faulty equipment, or safety issues.
