Job summary

Ellerslie Farms is seeking a hands-on trades/ labour role at our Millmerran operations in rural Queensland. You will work in a small, cooperative team across diverse sites, performing maintenance and hands-on tasks in an agricultural setting with a strong emphasis on safety and biosecurity.

Essential: valid driver’s license, Construction Card (Blue/White), and current tickets for loader, forklift, telehandler, and bobcat. A can-do attitude and reliable transport are required.

About the Role ...

Applicants should have experience working in a physical, hands-on role, with a demonstrated knowledge and skill required for an agricultural working environment, proactive fault-finding ethic, with a solution finding focus.An excellent work ethic and be committed to their trade. Must be honest and reliable, as well as have the capacity for accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable: Previous machine operating experience, particularly within agricultural, construction, or industrial environments. Relevant tickets, licences, or demonstrated experience operating machinery and equipment will be highly regarded.

You will need to have:

• Current machinery tickets for loader, forklift, telehandler and bobcat;
• Have a "can do" attitude by working cooperatively and efficiently to meet daily requirements;
• Be accountable for the work completed;
• A demonstrated understanding of the importance of teamwork;
• Good attention to detail;
• Self-motivated and driven attitude;
• Ideally, you will have some basic mechanically knowledge and the ability to adequately inspect and troubleshoot any vehicle or equipment provided for your use;
• Reliable transport.

• Excellent communication skills along with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships;
• A passion for Agriculture and a genuine interest in working in a rural area;
• Sufficient literacy and numeracy skills;
• A valid driver’s license and your own transport;
• Sound physical fitness, with the ability to work in dirty or dusty environments, work at heights, work in confined spaces, or work outside in all types of weather.
