Job summary

Oly Homes, Queensland's leading modular home builder, is seeking reliable Labourers for our Cooroy and Yandina yards. Join a team with Half day Fridays and a varied, hands-on role building modular homes, with opportunities to work across yard and site tasks.

Duties include assisting in chassis setup, flooring, framing, cladding, packing houses, load lists, unloading trucks, yard maintenance, and fixture prep. Applicants should have own transport, a White Card, and ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• Own transport and reliability.
• White Card (construction safety) is required.
• Ability to lift heavy loads.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Welding and metal saw equipment experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in chassis setup and placement, flooring, framing, cladding or any construction related tasks.
• Make up u-bolts as required.
• Assist in trims using aluminium cutting saw as directed by 2ICs and team leader.
• Assist in packing houses, including fulfilling load list requirements.
• Assisting in the splitting and preparing of houses prior to lift/installation.
• Unload trucks and place goods as directed by Gatekeeper, 2ICs, team leaders and stores staff.
• Yard cleaning duties, bins used, area kept clear of clutter.
• Sweep yard, remove nails before heavy traffic movements (cranes/trucks).
• Mow lawns, edge clean, weed gardens as directed by 2ICs and team leaders.
• External pick up and deliver of goods as directed.

Oly Homes is Queensland's leading modular home builder, with a full calendar of work booked through to 2027 and beyond. We're looking for Labourers to join our growing team. Work is available at our Cooroy and Yandina yards (soon consolidating into a new Corbould Park facility in Caloundra West).

Duties involve:

• Assist in chassis setup and placement, flooring, framing, cladding or any construction related tasks
• Make up ubolts as required
• Assist in trims using the aluminium cutting saw as directed by 2ICs and team leader
• Assist in packing houses, including fulfilling load list requirements
• Assisting in the splitting and preparing of houses prior to lift/installation
• As directed unload trucks and place goods as directed by Gatekeeper, 2ICs, team leaders and any stores related employees
• Yard cleaning duties as directed by 2ICs, team leaders, ensuring bins are utilised and areas are clear of clutter
• Sweep yard as required removing all nails, prior to heavy traffic movements, cranes/trucks etc.
• Mow lawns, edge clean, weed gardens as directed by 2ICs and team leaders
• External pick up and deliver of goods as directed

Preferred:

• Own transport and be reliable
• White card
• Heavy lifting of product
• Use of hand tools
• Use of welding & metal saw equipment

Not essential but beneficial

• Participate in stocktakes
• Collecting from local suppliers as and when required.
• Picking, packing and preparing items as well as loading homes for delivery.
• Loading and unloading of trucks.
• Operating all mechanical equipment including Forklifts in a safe manner.

As a solid all-rounder, you will need an eye for detail andthe ability to work without supervision.
