Job summary

AWX is seeking a full-time casual store person/labourer for a busy warehouse. The role involves heavy lifting, stock handling, and order picking/packing within a fast-moving environment. A forklift ticket is desirable, and eligibility to work in Australia is required.

Successful candidates will have a valid driver’s license, reliable transport, and be able to pass a pre-employment physical. The position offers ongoing work with potential for permanency and career development within AWX.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-moving warehouse facility.
• Able to pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
• Physically fit to handle large/heavy product.
• Must hold a valid Australian driver’s license with reliable transport.
• Eligible to work in Australia (Citizen or permanent resident).
• Willing to work 06:00–18:00, Mon–Fri.
• Pass pre-employment physical.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
• Accurately pick and pack orders for dispatch.
• Operate or assist with forklift where ticketed.
• Contribute to stocking and racking up to 8 meters high.
• Maintain safety and warehouse cleanliness.

ABOUT THE ROLE

AWX are currently recruiting a full-time casual store person/labourer for the warehouse of a busy manufacturing plant. Must be physically fit as the product is large and heavy. Forklift ticket is desireable and experience putting stock into racking up to 8 meters high, loading and unloading trucks.

This is an ongoing opportunity with a view to permanency so unfortunate we cannot accept working holiday visas for this role.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE

We are looking for personnel with previous experience in a fast-moving warehouse facility with the following:

• High level of fitness and good core strength
• Previous experience in a physically demanding high volume position
• Accurately able to pick and pack orders efficiently
• Drivers licence and reliable transport
• Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia (View to transition to full time role)
• Commit to work between the hours of 06:00 - 18:00 Mon-Fri
• Suitable level of fitness to pass a pre-employment physical

To be considered, you must be suitably qualified and have proven experience in the warehouseing sector or had prior experience with container unloading
