Job summary

ALS Environmental in Smithfield, NSW, is seeking two Laboratory Technicians to join the laboratory. Responsibilities include performing sample extractions per ALS procedures, calibrating equipment, managing consumables, and upholding QA/QC and HSE standards.

Two permanent, full-time positions are available, one for the morning shift and one for the afternoon shift; rosters may be Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in science (chemistry preferred).
• High attention to detail with good analytical reasoning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct extraction procedures per ALS quality work instructions.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and manage consumables.
• Organise tasks to meet deadlines and QA/QC requirements.
• Report anomalies or issues to supervisors and maintain a safe workspace.
• Comply with HSE policies and safety procedures.
