Job summary

Randstad in Townsville is seeking a motivated Concrete Lab Technician to ensure the integrity and repeatability of concrete testing while upholding safety, quality, and customer service.

You will conduct lab and field tests, maintain equipment and comply with EPA license conditions, working closely with clients and teammates. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented with strong communication and analytical skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Must be based in Townsville or able to commute daily.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have your own reliable vehicle.
• Must be able to pass a Police Check.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory and field testing of concrete to required minimum standards.
• Ensure testing integrity and repeatability.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Lab Technician to join our team in Townsville. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and repeatability of concrete testing while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct all laboratory and field testing of concrete in strict compliance with required minimum standards.
• Ensure accurate testing integrity and repeatability (the main challenge of the role).
• Maintain quality control through excellent housekeeping, regular equipment checks, and immediate reporting of any product performance issues.
• Comply with all safety regulations, attend daily start-up meetings and toolbox talks, and actively report and investigate hazards or incidents.
• Ensure all environmental and sustainability requirements are met, including EPA license conditions.
• Work closely with clients to build strong relationships and achieve customer service goals.
• Support operational improvement initiatives and complete varied duties based on training and skills.
• Participate in required training, annual dialogue reviews, and demonstrate integrity to help motivate the team.

Mandatory Requirements
