We are a NATA-accredited laboratory servicing Environmental Consultants, Mines, Occupational Hygienists, Government Departments, Industry, and the general public by providing great service and quality.

Description

About The Role: We are seeking applications for a casual Laboratory Technician to join our team at our brand-new Perth facility, located in Canning Vale. This modern laboratory and office space offers the latest technology, on-site parking, and contemporary amenities designed for comfort and efficiency.

This is an entry-level position with flexible hours available Monday to Friday, ideally between 9:30am and 7:00pm (minimum 30 hours per week).

The role is physically active and hands-on, involving moderate lifting and manual handling. It’s a great opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in laboratory work within a supportive and safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Sample Preparation & Analysis: Weighing, filtration, and acid digestion of water and soil samples.
  • Quality Control: Follow all quality control protocols to maintain high standards.
  • Safety: Comply with laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
  • Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.
Skills and Experiences

About You: The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, 'can-do' attitude
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • A degree in Science with a Chemistry major is preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
  • May be required to work the 1-9pm night shift
