Job summary

Boral is seeking a hands-on Concrete & Aggregates Laboratory Technician for our Canberra team. You will sample, test, and report on concrete and quarry products, under the guidance of the Laboratory Supervisor.

This role supports QA and compliance activities while upholding safety standards in a leading construction materials company. Ideal candidates may come from construction, trade, or technical backgrounds and are looking to develop skills within a supportive environment that offers growth

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Laboratory Technician, or experience in a construction, trade, or related industry.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and industry testing requirements.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collect concrete and aggregate samples from sites across the region.
• Perform laboratory testing in line with industry standards and approved procedures.
• Prepare samples and accurately record and report test results.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Support quality assurance and compliance testing activities.
• Maintain laboratory records and documentation in line with NATA accreditation requirements.
• Champion safe work practices and contribute to a strong safety culture.

Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about quality? We're looking for a motivated Concrete & Aggregates Laboratory Technician to join our Canberra team. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and performance of our concrete and quarry products through sampling, testing, reporting, and laboratory operations.

What you'll be doing:

What you'll bring:

• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail
• Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
• Effective time management and organisational skills
• The ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and industry testing requirements
• Experience in aggregate testing (highly regarded but not essential)
• A current driver's licence (tool-of-trade vehicle provided)
