Job summary

Adelaide University is seeking a hands-on Technical Support Assistant based in Adelaide to support high-quality research and teaching. You will prepare media and solutions, maintain lab equipment and ensure safe operations for researchers, academics and students.

Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services, Biological Sciences, you will be part of a specialist team enabling research excellence across the College of Science.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV level qualification in Laboratory Operations or Life Sciences with relevant work experience.
• Experience preparing, dispensing and sterilising media and lab solutions.
• Experience with aseptic techniques and autoclaving.
• Ability to work independently and with customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory media and solutions for research and teaching.
• Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Support researchers, academics and students in lab operations.
