Job summary

Resolian Bioanalytics in Brisbane is seeking a Laboratory Operation Assistant I to support sample preparation and handling within a GLP-compliant laboratory. The role involves receiving, storing, and disposing of study samples and maintaining lab inventories.

You will work with lab personnel, sponsors, and sites to resolve discrepancies, ensure confidentiality, and assist with audits, data entry, and ordering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with ≥1 year in a related role or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and solutions for tertiary laboratory analysis.
• Receive, store, retrieve, and dispose of study samples per SOPs.
• Identify and resolve sample discrepancies with lab personnel, sponsors, and sites.
• Maintain confidentiality of all sample information.
• Maintain and update laboratory inventories and reference materials.
• Ensure storage security for the sample facility.
• Check freezers/fridges and PM per SOPs.
• Monitor temperature and humidity software per SOPs.
• Support internal/external audits as needed.
• Pack and dispatch items to other laboratories and sponsors.
• Calibrate and maintain basic equipment.
• Assist in laboratory supplies ordering and stock control.
• Perform data entry, filing and scanning.
• Undertake additional tasks as required.

Laboratory Operation Assistant I - Brisbane

• Participate in the preparation of samples and solutions for tertiary laboratory analysis.
• Responsible for the receipt, storage, retrieval and disposal of study samples, according to company SOPs.
• Work with lab personnel, sponsors, and sample sites to identify and resolve sample discrepancies.
• Ensure that all sample information is handled with the highest level of confidentiality.
• Maintain and update the laboratory inventories, including chemical reagents, consumables and reference materials.
• Maintain the security of the sample storage facility.
• Ensure all freezers/fridges are working properly and maintained according to SOPs and PM schedule.
• Maintain the temperature & humidity monitoring software as per SOPs.
• Support internal/external audits, as needed.
• Packing and dispatching items to other laboratories and sponsors as needed.
• Carry out routine calibration and maintenance of basic equipment.
• Assist in laboratory and office supplies ordering.
• Undertake administrative tasks such as entering data, filing and scanning.
• Assists with any additional tasks based on business or departmental needs, as assigned by management.

Requirements
