  • Monitor the functioning of equipment and perform necessary adjustments or modifications to ensure systems operate in conformance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff and review technical specifications to evaluate the interface between hardware and software and to understand operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
  • Provide training and technical support to system designers and users on hardware configurations, measurement processes, and lab procedures.
  • Perform regular Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) and oscilloscope measurements to support signal and power integrity investigations.
  • Conduct lab-based measurements and hardware testing to support the development and validation of complex hardware platforms.
  • Apply quality control and quality assurance practices to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and reliability of test results and measurements.
  • Document test setups, measurement procedures, and results clearly and accurately for use by engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Use design and engineering software tools to support prototype development, analysis, and documentation.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, organization, and continuous improvement within the hardware lab environment.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of hands‑on lab technician experience working directly with electronic systems and taking measurements.
  • At least 2 years of computer hardware experience, including working with components such as circuit boards, processors, and electronic assemblies.
  • At least 2 years of electronics experience involving practical work with electronic equipment and measurement tools.
  • Demonstrated experience performing lab‑based measurements, including use of instruments such as VNAs and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong quality control and hardware testing experience in a lab environment.
  • Creativity combined with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to support complex hardware development.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams and document technical work.

  • Basic mentoring skills to provide support and constructive feedback to peers or junior team members.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology in hardware development.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering or hardware design.
  • 57 years of relevant professional experience in hardware, electronics, or a closely related field.
  • Bachelors degree or associates degree in engineering is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Hands‑on lab technician experience with a focus on measurement‑intensive roles is highly desirable.
  • Experience performing VNA measurements and interpreting results in the context of signal and power integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately represent technical skills and equipment experience in documentation and resumes.
  • Experience supporting the development of complex hardware platforms through lab-based measurement and testing.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance practices in a hardware or electronics lab environment.
