  • Manage day-to-day support priorities with limited on-site supervision, using sound judgement to determine next steps and escalation requirements.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to infrastructure, application, vendor or leadership teams with clear background, impact, troubleshooting completed and recommended actions.
  • Log, track and document all support interactions, actions and resolutions in the ITSM ticketing system, ensuring timely updates and SLA awareness.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, device management, endpoint support, user access, password management and related administration tasks within role scope.
  • Assist with IT hardware and software deployments, upgrades, patching, system testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records and support effective management of local devices and equipment across Queensland sites.
  • Provide user guidance and training on IT tools, cyber security practices and standard support processes.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles, FAQs, user guides and troubleshooting documentation to improve team efficiency and reduce repeat issues.
  • Identify recurring problems and contribute to preventative actions, process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships with local stakeholders, remote IT teams, vendors and suppliers.
  • Occasional travel within Queensland and New South Wales may be required to provide on‑site support.
About You
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in IT support, service desk, desktop support or IT systems administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting capability across Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, endpoint support, hardware, software and network connectivity.
  • Experience working with ITSM tools, ticketing systems and remote support technologies.
  • Experience configuring, deploying and supporting IT hardware, software, mobile devices and cloud-based applications.
  • Sound understanding of user access control, password management, endpoint protection, cyber security practices and IT security protocols.
  • Basic to intermediate networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, incident management and IT service delivery best practice is preferred.
  • Exposure to system upgrades, software rollouts, project‑based IT implementations and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and make sound decisions within role scope.
  • Confident knowing when to act, when to seek guidance and when to elevate to leadership or specialist teams.
  • Analytical, detail‑oriented and solution‑focused, with strong follow‑through and a proactive approach to preventing repeat issues.
  • Friendly, approachable and collaborative, with a strong customer service mindset and the ability to build trust with local stakeholders.
