Job summary

Madan Stha in Sydney CBD is seeking a Kitchen Hand / Commis Chef to join the Catering & Events team. You’ll be involved in food preparation, kitchen service, and supporting weekday lunches and a variety of morning, evening and weekend events.

This is more than a kitchen hand role—a chance to learn, build confidence, and develop cooking skills in a small, hands-on team. We value passion for food, a calm, can-do attitude, reliability, and flexibility Monday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience
• Genuine passion for food and cooking
• Keen to learn and develop skills

• Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and kitchen service
• Support weekday lunches and a variety of morning, evening and weekend events

• Contribute to the overall preparation and presentation of dishes
