Job summary

360 Early Education is looking for a Kitchen Hand to support our Chef in a purpose-built commercial kitchen. This entry-level, part-time role offers flexible hours for supervised kitchen experience without running the kitchen yourself.

You will assist with food preparation, service, and maintaining hygiene standards. No formal qualifications are required, but a careful attitude toward food safety, reliability and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required for this entry-level role.
• A careful, conscientious attitude towards hygiene, cleanliness and allergen management.
• Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to fit around our Chef's hours.
• Willingness to learn and follow food safety procedures.
• Current First Aid and Child Protection training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and service: assist the Chef with basic food prep, portioning and plating; help serve meals to children on time and to standard; follow allergen and dietary requirements precisely.
• Hygiene and cleanliness: wash dishes and equipment; keep surfaces, floors and storage areas clean; follow HACCP-based procedures; report issues promptly.
• Child safety: uphold child-safe practices; model respectful behavior; understand reporting obligations and raise concerns when needed.
