Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy commercial kitchen
• Current Food Handler Certificate
• Reliable availability for Thursday–Sunday shifts
• Able to work under pressure during busy Friday and Saturday services
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
• Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene and organisation
• Proactive, punctual and able to work independently
• Team-oriented and flexible

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitise and put away dishes, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organised and running efficiently throughout service
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen benches, equipment, floors and work areas
• Assist with food preparation, stock rotation and storage when required
• Manage rubbish, recycling and general kitchen cleaning duties
• Complete end-of-shift cleaning and closing procedures
• Assist chefs during food service on occasion, including preparation and plating as directed
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
