Job summary

Journey Beyond is seeking a Kitchen Hand to support our kitchen team in delivering high-quality food and a great guest experience at Bells Functions in Elizabeth Quay. You will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, handle deliveries, and ensure food safety and safety standards are followed.

Ideal candidates have previous kitchen or hospitality experience, a positive attitude, and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen or hospitality settings.
• Food handling certificate preferred.
• Strong teamwork and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Chefs with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Assist with basic food preparation and ingredient handling.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Receive, store and manage stock deliveries.
• Dispose of waste and keep kitchen and surrounding areas presentable.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
• Assist with other duties as required.

About The Role

As a Kitchen Hand, you'll play an important role in supporting our kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and a great guest experience. You'll assist with food preparation, maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen, wash dishes and equipment, receive deliveries, and ensure all food safety and workplace health and safety standards are followed.

Key responsibilities
