Job summary

The Collaroy Centre, part of The Salvation Army, is seeking a Casual Kitchen Hand to support on-site catering operations. You will be responsible for the cleanliness of all catering equipment and flatware, washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, and assisting kitchen staff during service.

Shifts run 7 days, typically 7am-3pm or 5pm-8pm. Previous kitchen hand experience and food hygiene training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen hand experience is desired.
• Undertaken food hygiene training.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under conflicting time pressures.

Responsibilities

• Back of House Kitchen Cleanliness - Adhere to all cleaning of food preparation areas and dining spaces.
• Cookery Duties - occasional chopping of vegetables as required in a busy service.
• Team Support – Participate in team activities and staff meetings, supporting colleagues.
