Job summary

The Salvation Army at The Collaroy Centre on Sydney's northern beaches is seeking a Casual Kitchen Hand to support on-site catering operations. You will ensure cleanliness of catering equipment and flatware, wash dishes, and perform general kitchen cleaning including floors.

Shifts run seven days a week, typically 7am–3pm or 5pm–8pm, with duties covering back-of-house cleanliness, occasional vegetable chopping, and teamwork to keep dining operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen hand experience is desired.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under conflicting time pressures.

Responsibilities

• Back of House Kitchen Cleanliness - Adhere to cleaning of food preparation areas and dining room spaces.
• Cookery Duties - occasional chopping of vegetables.
• Team Support - participates in team activities and staff meetings.
