Job summary

CraigCare Group in Moonee Ponds VIC is seeking a motivated Kitchen Hand to join our aged care hospitality team on a part-time basis. You will support food preparation, presentation, and service to residents, helping ensure meals are enjoyable and safe.

The ideal candidate has prior kitchen or food service experience, knowledge of food safety, strong teamwork and communication, and flexibility to work weekends on a rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen, hospitality, or food service.
• Sound knowledge of food safety practices; Food Safety Certificate preferred.
• Positive, team-focused, and customer-service oriented.
• Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude.
• Flexible to work across a rotating roster, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, presentation, and meal service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Support the monitoring and recording of Food Safety Program requirements.
• Complete cleaning and sanitization tasks in accordance with food safety and CraigCare standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional service to residents.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

About You:

• Previous kitchen, hospitality, or food service experience
• Sound knowledge of food safety practices (Food Safety Certificate preferred)

• Police check clearance in case no NDIS clearance (or willing to obtain)
• Proof of Work rights in Australia
