Job summary

Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort in Yamba is seeking a reliable Kitchen Attendant to join our busy kitchen and food truck operation. You’ll help with food preparation, washing and keeping areas clean, and ensuring equipment is ready for service. Great entry into hospitality with a friendly, supportive team.

We value teamwork, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. A Food Safety Certificate is preferred or a willingness to obtain one; we operate a 7‑day roster including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Food safety knowledge or certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen team with food preparation and general duties.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organized, including dishwashing.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Wash and maintain equipment and utensils.

We're looking for a reliable and energetic Kitchen Attendant to join our team and help keep our busy kitchen and food truck running smoothly. Located in beautiful Yamba , this is a fantastic opportunity to work where others come to holiday. Whether you're looking to kick‑start your hospitality career or already have kitchen experience, you'll be part of a supportive team and play an important role in making sure our kitchen is clean, organised, stocked and ready for service.

What you'll do:

• Support our kitchen team with food preparation and general kitchen duties.
• Keep kitchen, food preparation and dishwashing areas clean, organised and running efficiently.
• Wash and maintain cooking equipment, utensils and kitchen tools.
• Assist with basic food preparation and ingredient preparation as required.
• Help maintain high food safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Food & Beverage team.

What you'll bring:

• A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a busy team.
• An interest in hospitality, food preparation and kitchen operations.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• A Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Flexibility to work across a 7‑day roster, including weekends, public holidays and peak holiday periods.
