Ku-ring-gai Fitness & Aquatic Centre – YMCA NSW is seeking a Kiosk Assistant to operate in a fast-paced café/kiosk, delivering friendly service to members and guests.

You will handle customer service, food prep, stock, and cash handling, while upholding food safety and WHS procedures. This role suits someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys teamwork, with barista experience and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Barista experience.
• Current CPR certificate (essential).
• Desirable: Food handling certification.
• Capable of working in a busy environment with good fitness.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all café/kiosk customers in a friendly and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and professional appearance, including wearing the required uniform and name badge.
• Build positive, cooperative relationships with customers and team members.
• Assist with food and beverage preparation and baking as required.
• Follow all food handling requirements and legislation, including monitoring use-by dates and disposing of expired products correctly.
• Help with stock ordering, receiving and stocktakes, and keep shelves and fridges well stocked.
• Follow cash handling procedures with 100% accuracy, ensuring the register balances at the end of each shift.
• Keep the kiosk area clean, tidy and free from hazards, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
• Work safely and support YMCA NSW risk management and WHS requirements, including incident reporting and hazard management.
