Job summary

Glenelg Shire Council seeks a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join the Kathleen Millikan Centre in the rural township of Casterton. You will work in a supportive team environment within a close-knit farming community on traditional lands of Gunditjmara, Boandik and Jardwadjali peoples.

Contact days are Monday and Friday 8.30am-4.00pm with non-contact time scheduled accordingly; you will contribute to delivering a nurturing, inclusive program and build strong relationships with

Qualifications

Bachelor-level qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
Current First Aid qualification HLTAID012.
National Child Safety training.
Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and its daily application.
Experience working with children and families.
Experience in developing and implementing an educational program.
Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with staff.
Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues.
Positive outlook and team approach.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships to support children's learning, wellbeing and development.
Educational leadership and willingness to support growth of individuals and teams.
